Museums in Poland. Reports based on data from the project Museum Statistics (2013-2015)
The publication Museums in Poland. Reports based on data from the project Museum Statistics (2013-2015) is a summary of the project outcomes over the first three years of its implementation. The data collected in that period were used by experts in particular disciplines to develop five thematic reports. The first one, by Renata Pater, concerns the scientific, as well as educational and publishing activities of museums in Poland. The characteristics of exhibition activity (including attendance, promotional and marketing tools) are described by Alicja Knast. Another report by Alicja de Rosset outlines the management of museum collections. The issues concerning safety standards and infrastructure of museums were covered by Krzysztof Osiewicz. The last of the reports in the publication developed by Monika Murzyn-Kupisz concerns the socio-economic aspects of museums' operation (such as employment, income and expenditure of museum institutions).
